Insurance guide
Using your Delta Dental of Michigan plan in Roseville
A plain-English guide to dental insurance for Roseville families — what the terms mean, what to ask, and how to confirm your own benefits before your visit.
Delta Dental at our Roseville office
Delta Dental of Michigan is one of the most common dental plans in Macomb County, and it's one of the plans we regularly work with at Roseville Family Dental on 28350 Gratiot Ave. We've been caring for families here for more than 20 years, and our front desk spends a good part of every day helping patients make sense of their benefits.
Important: this page is educational only. We can't tell you online what your plan covers, what it will reimburse, or what you'll owe. Plan participation, networks, annual maximums, and covered services vary from one policy to the next — even between two people who both say they "have Delta Dental." Please call our office at 586-772-7800 and/or contact Delta Dental directly using the number on your member ID card to verify your individual benefits.
Delta Dental networks, in plain terms
Delta Dental of Michigan administers several different plan types — you'll often see names like Delta Dental PPO, Delta Dental Premier, and DeltaCare. They differ in how the network is structured and how benefits are calculated, which is why two Roseville neighbors with Delta Dental cards can have very different out-of-pocket experiences.
Because network participation and benefit levels are specific to your policy and to each provider, we don't publish assumptions about them. The fastest way to get an accurate answer is a quick phone call — bring your member ID and group number and we'll help you start a benefits inquiry.
What to have ready before you call
- Your Delta Dental member ID number and group number
- The subscriber's name and date of birth (this may be a spouse or parent)
- The plan name printed on your card, if it's listed
- Any treatment you already know you need, so we can ask the right questions
Insurance words worth knowing
- Deductible
- The amount you pay yourself before your plan begins paying its share.
- Annual maximum
- The most a plan will pay toward your care within a plan year.
- Pre-treatment estimate
- A request sent to the plan before treatment so you can see how it's likely to be handled. It's an estimate, not a guarantee.
- Coordination of benefits
- How two plans work together when someone is covered by more than one policy.
Care we provide
Whatever your plan turns out to cover, our care stays the same: exams and preventive cleanings, fillings, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment, extractions, dentures, and emergency visits when something can't wait. See our full list of services or the other plans we accept.
